About Amazon Logistics
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's in-house last-mile delivery network, launched in 2014 to reduce reliance on third-party carriers like UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Operating through a hybrid model of Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), Amazon Flex gig drivers, and Amazon-owned infrastructure, it handles billions of packages annually and has surpassed FedEx in US parcel volume since 2020. The service offers same-day, next-day (Prime), 1-2 day standard, weekend, and evening delivery across the United States. AMZL is exclusively for Amazon orders and is not available to third-party shippers. Key features include real-time map tracking on delivery day, photo-on-delivery confirmation, and delivery windows from 8 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week.
Tracking Number Format
Amazon Logistics tracking numbers use a 3-letter regional prefix followed by 10-12 numeric digits (13-15 characters total). The most common formats are: TBA (United States, e.g., TBA948883735000), TBC (Canada, e.g., TBC038034537009), and TBM (Mexico, e.g., TBM091984187418). International variants include GBA (UK), ZX (India), ZZ (Australia), and ZY (Japan). Important: TBA/TBC/TBM numbers cannot be tracked on third-party carrier sites (USPS, UPS, FedEx). Track only through your Amazon account (Your Orders → Track Package), the Amazon mobile app, or the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email.
